Younger detective Sonia Summers has been transferred to the outskirts of the port metropolis Libra after stirring up bother along with her superiors. Libra is separated into two sectors—”the Higher”, the middle of wealth and politics, and “the Outdoors”. The Outdoors is residence to crime, corruption, and curious incidents involving monstrosities or youkai. Every case that Sonia works on appears to implicate the involvement of those mysterious creatures.
Sonia crosses paths with three peculiar humanoid youkai — Bem, Bela and Belo — who search to guard people and struggle towards the evil youkai that terrorize them. Dwelling as “Youkai-Ningen,” they’re excluded by different youkai for his or her human-like existence, and rejected and harm by people once they reveal their true kinds.
